Veterans Day Program With YME High School

On Tuesday, November 11th, 2025, Fagen Fighters WWII Museum will partner with our local high school to honor our veterans in a meaningful annual event. This special occasion brings the younger generation face-to-face with American heroes, creating a patriotic and profoundly impactful experience. Students have the unique opportunity to hear firsthand testimonies of selflessness, bravery, and honor directly from those who served.

WWII Reenactment Day At The Museum

Event Details

Join us on Saturday, October 26th. For the price of admission, Fagen Fighters WWII Museum of Granite Falls, Minnesota, is excited to host several reenactor groups who will be setting up camps and displaying actual WWII artifacts. Visitors will be able to walk through the camps and interact with the reenaactors throughout the day. The reenactors will not perform a scripted reenactment but will be there to answer questions visitors may have. A 2:00 p.m. program is scheduled in the amphitheater area. Several of the Museum vehicles will be out on the grounds for the day.

We welcome general aviation. Weather permitting, Warbirds will fly late morning.

Food vendors for the day:
Chris Cakes of Iowa will be serving pancakes and sausage from 10am to 2pm. Pancake meal (includes a pancake, sausage, and a bottle of water) is $7 — cash only.
Maui Wowi, offers smoothies and coffee, will be on site for the day. Prices vary. Accepts cash and card.

Food and beverages are not included in the price of admission to the museum.

WWII USS Essex Ace and Aircraft Reunion

WWII Navy Ace Donald M. McPherson, age 102, of Adams, Nebraska, taking to the skies on Friday, September 27th in a Warbird for the first time since WWII in Fagen Fighters Navy Helldiver. Air Force Lt. Col. Ray Fowler of Carrollton, Georgia, is at the controls.

EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2024

Fagen Fighters' newly restored Curtiss SB2C-5 Helldiver made its highly anticipated debut at the AirVenture 2024 event in Oshkosh, Wisconsin on July 24th. It was an exciting night for the entire Fagen Fighters team as Ray Fowler skillfully touched down on Runway 27 in Oshkosh at 7:10 pm in the Fagen Fighters Curtiss SB2C-5 Navy Helldiver.

On the following day, July 25th, the Fagen Fighters Curtiss SB2C-5 Navy Helldiver and the Republic P-47D Chief Ski-U-Mah II were showcased at the Warbirds in Review event. The panel discussion was moderated by Brig. Gen. Ed McIlhenny, ret., and featured speakers including Ron Fagen, Evan Fagen, Brandon Deuel, Chad Hill, and Ray Fowler.

80th Anniversary of D-Day

Fagen Fighters WWII Museum commemorated the 80th anniversary of the Invasion of Normandy, D-Day, on June 6th, 2024. We held a program featuring two WWII Veterans, and guest speaker, Capt. James (Jim) Johns, Ret. Local food vendors came, and Ron Fagen flew the BT-13.
