Warbird In Review: P-51D Mustang Jane VI

  • EAA Warbirds 3000 Poberezny Road Oshkosh, WI, 54902 United States (map)

A true highlight of this year’s trip to EAA AirVenture Oshkosh is the long-awaited debut of the P-51 Mustang Jane VI. After an extensive, no-compromise restoration, she returns to the public eye for the first time since World War II—bringing with her the stories, legacy, and spirit of the men who flew her.

Even more special is her appearance at Warbird in Review at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 22. This isn’t just a presentation—it’s a rare opportunity to hear Jane VI’s story told by those directly connected to her past and present. Featured speakers include Bill Marshall, whose father piloted Jane VI during the war, offering a deeply personal connection to her combat history. He’ll be joined by Brandon Deuel, who helped lead her meticulous restoration, and Steve Hinton, the renowned test pilot who brought her back to life in the skies.

Together, they’ll share the journey of Jane VI—from wartime service to restoration and return to flight—making this a can’t-miss moment for anyone who appreciates the living history of these legendary aircraft.
