Fagen Fighters WWII Museum Introduces FG-1D Corsair, Bu. No. 92489

We are proud to introduce the newest addition to the Fagen Fighters WWII Museum collection: a beautifully preserved FG-1D Corsair, Bureau Number 92489, recently acquired from Tom Duffy on the East Coast. Fagen Fighters’ latest addition to the museum warbird family is N209TW, the Goodyear-built FG-1D Corsair. This historically significant aircraft was purchased from the Tom Duffy collection in Pennsylvania and is being transported to Minnesota. Plans are to receive the Corsair mid to late May.

A Living Piece of History

At Fagen Fighters WWII Museum, our mission is to bring history to life—and this FG-1D Corsair does exactly that. From its unmistakable bent-wing silhouette to the many stories it carries, Bu No. 92489 will become a striking centerpiece of our growing collection. It offers visitors a rare and powerful opportunity to connect with WWII aviation history in a tangible way, up close. Because when you stand next to a Corsair… you’re not just looking at an airplane. You’re standing in the presence of history.
